The Best Exercise to Build Your Chest

Every guy who goes to the gym wants to build up their chest. So they
pound it with tons of bench press and dumbbell flys. The only problem
is these exercises are not even the best way to build your chest.
First lets go over the main function of the chest to have a better
understanding at how it works. The pecs main function is to bring the
arms across the mid-line of the body. Instantly you would think about
the dumbbell fly as being the perfect exercise, right?
Wrong.
The problem with the dumbbell fly is you are very limited to the amount
of weight you can use. Most people can only do flies with around 20-50
pounds safely and properly. This just is not enough weight to provide
a great muscle building stimulus.
Well with the bench press you can do a lot of weight, that must be
perfect for building your chest!?

Renegade Diet Log: 6-12-11

I make mine Renegade Diet style- Sugar free with stevia and with an
almond-coconut crust.
Working at a gym all day and training clients, I am constantly asked
what, when, and how I eat. My answer's normally come as I surprise to
people and can be a bit confusing.
The simplest way to put it is I eat all my carbohydrates at night.
Shocked?
I was when I first starting experimenting with it, but it works. Since
following the Renegade Diet the last 6 months I have gotten leaner &
stronger by eating all my carb's at night. I am not the only one that
believes in this style of eating either.

What's up everyone!
I hope everyone kicked of the summer with a great Memorial Day weekend.
I had my fair share of sun, fun, and lots of food! I was able to get
in a quick workout on the beach on Saturday that I am a bit addicted to
right now. Normally for conditioning workouts I do the Renegade method
staple, hill sprints. Lately though I have been doing beach sprints a
lot. Where I live in Virginia I have access to quite a few beaches so
I stop by one of them and knock this workout or something similar out
in 30 minutes or so.
The benefits of beach sprints are the sand naturally slows you down
which helps limit the chances of injury and also gets your heart rate
cranking pretty easily. You could simply do a few 50 yard runs in
loose sand and get your heart rate up. The workout I did looked like
this:

Bison Ribs Recipe

Yes, I ate the whole rack of bison ribs.
For those of you that do not know, I follow the Renegade Diet by Jason
Ferruggia. It is a modified version of the warrior diet aimed at
optimal health and maximum performance that is available to Inner
Circle members while we experiment and tweak it for the final version.
One of the best parts about the diet is I get to sit down to a big
satisfying meal every evening. Recently I made some bison ribs and
want to share the recipe since they turned out pretty good.

I first want to start this off by saying I love all my clients and
forever feel a debt to them for enabling me to never have to "work". I
feel blessed to get to do what I love every day.
For those of you that don't know, I was born premature and only weighed
around 2 pounds at birth. My twin brother and I had to stay in the
hospital a while and he was much worse than me.
Luckily it all worked out and we turned out happy & healthy. Well, one
of my clients Stephanie who I use to train at my old gym has a new son,
Chase. Stephanie and her husband Matt's son Chase was born at 26 weeks
weighing only 2lbs 3ozs and spent a little over 3 months in the NICU at
CHKD. He had an Intraventricular hemorrhage (brain bleed) on both
sides.

Be A Leader

One thing I pride myself in the most is being a do-er. I don't like to
just assume what I have been told, I like to try it out and see for my
self. Whether it be business, workouts, nutrition, whatever. This can
sound very contradicting considering the fact that my blog gives you
tips on what to do and how to reach your goals. One thing I stress
though is don't just take my word for it, actually try it out. See for
your self, I am experimenting all the time with new things trying to
see what works best for me and my clients.
Most importantly though is that you need to be different from everyone
else to be a leader. Always strive to find something better or more
challenging. For example in the fitness world everyone recommends 6
meals a day, well I have been experimenting with great results from 1-3
meals a day. Studies may say other wise, but studies are made to
manipulate anyway you want.

doing a functional workout. He trains like the athlete he is and gets
hot chicks as a side effect. Most people will go out of their way to
plan a night out. From who to go with, where to go, what to wear, when
to eat, drinks they will be having, pickup lines they will be using,
and floor they will be crashing on. Yet when it comes to putting there
body through an intense workout with dangerously heavy weights, they
have no plan and just do whatever.
Part 1 and Part 2 of the series mostly covered aspects preparing you
for the workout. Part 3 is the specifics of the perfect workout.
No road map or conscious idea of any kind of successful formula. Even
worse is they have a plan, but it comes out of FLEX magazine and is Jay
Cutlers Mr. Olympia workout that will never do anything for anyone
except for steroid users with no life who enjoy carrying around gallon
jugs full of creatine and wearing shirts that only retired old men in
Key West should be allowed to wear.
I like to think I have a pretty good idea of what people want. A lean,
athletic body that not only looks good, but also performs good. Also,
we like to believe you don't want to be in the gym longer than an hour
because you may have kids, hobbies, meetings, basically a life. Read

As promised, I present Katy Perry and the number one way she can help
your workout. Her music will help put you too sleep. That's right, I am
suggesting there is much better music. In all seriousness though, sleep
is one of the most over looked aspects in living a healthy lifestyle
and supporting good workouts.
In all my years of training one of the phrases I have heard the most,
either directly or over-hearing a conversation is "I can never fall
asleep!". Everyone acts like its some unfortunate bad luck that they
are riddled with forever. Truthfully if you are having trouble sleeping
it is your own fault, but the good news is that means YOU can fix it.
One of the first things you need to do is try not to eat for a couple
hours before bed. The act of digestion will make it harder to fall
asleep and not leave your body in a complete restful state. And for all
the bodybuilders out there who are yelling they must have their protein
shake or cottage cheese the minute for bed or else their muscles will
waste away over night. Bull. Get over it, your body is more resilient
than that and amino's from real food protein sources well be in your

Achieve A Perfect Workout: Part 1- Hydration

Stay hydrated. Even more so if you are out in the sun.
The perfect workout.
Leading up to the workout you are excited for it and your energy does
not waver. You get into the warm-up motivated and feeling strong from
the get-go. As the workout progresses you are breaking personal records
and even have to hold your self back from more. You finish up strong
feeling spent, yet a nice burst of energy when you leave the gym that
extends to the rest of your day.
Why can't every workout be like this?
Does it take some miracle combination of the alignment of Jupiter and
the moon?
How about some ridiculously expensive "pre-workout" supplement that you
end up feeling like you need to have every workout ?
I am here to dis-spell these myths and show you the way to having a
productive workout just about every time. Today we will start with the
role of hydration. One of the biggest mistakes people make is being
dehydrated when they start their workout. Just so you know, those are
the workout where you feel weaker and are pissed off because of it.

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.
ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
